Erich: Let me get into one final thought here before we slide into the meditation. This is partly from what we were talking about the other day. My take on all of this, remember, is that there is no such thing as death. Just hear that. Watch how you argue with it. Watch how you go, "Yes, I already know that," or whatever. But, there is no such thing as death.
When it appears as though somebody dies, all that's happened is that they have gone beyond your present range of vision. You can't track them at the moment. It's like my nephew getting on the plane and he flies out of here. To all empirical evidence at my disposal he's dead and gone. But, to him, his experience is he is still fully embodied! He is where he is. He's having a good ride. That is exactly what is happening.
When someone appears to die and go out of this experience, they don't stop existing. They continue on, fully being who they are with their current level of understanding, in the middle of Infinity.
Therefore, if there is no such thing as death, watch how much of your life is geared towards, "Well, I'm getting older. I'm aging. I'm going to die." I mean you're killing yourself with that thought! And, especially if you are doing this for your physical health, which is the reason a lot of people get into Yoga, that mindset is the big culprit.
But, increasingly you will have the insight, "Oh wow, actually, there is no such thing as death." Death means the extinguishment of being. There is no such thing as the extinguishment of being! It doesn't mean you are going to be here forever. But it does mean you will BE, forever.
Therefore, when you catch yourself imagining your future death, and you think, "Yeah, well, that's just the way it is," be aware that that's what you are saying to yourself. Then, put a comma in your commentary, and wonder, "What is the truth here, really?"
You probably won't have a big revelation at that moment, but at least you won't be strengthening your current limited belief. That is all you need to do. Stop energizing your current limited beliefs, and then what is really true will start infiltrating, and you will have New Knowing, such as "Death is a fake."
You don't really die when you die. Other people don't really die when they die. And, if we were more enlightened, we would be able to communicate with people and teleport ourselves around. This is all going to become obvious soon, is my prediction.
