Erich: Is everybody ready? Finally, we're starting!

So, again, in case you don't already know this, Chapter One in these classes is talking about the Yoga mindset, to the best of my understanding. I know I am still learning, so I am anticipating that I will be able to say it more and more clearly.

The last class, what we talked about, I think was so important. I've listened to it four times. I read the transcript once. I feel like I need to go through it a few more times.

And I'm going to try and say it again, OK?

But, simple-er.

I mean, you've already heard it, or a number of you have already heard it. But, it seems so significant and so radical. The word, radical, actually means, "root." I was saying that it meant "fundamental" the other day, but I think it means root. Like fundamental, but root.

So, this is a fundamental, radical, root idea, and it has to do with the word infinity.

Can I try this again? Is this interesting, this stuff? Yes. Good, good. And, especially once you start taking it seriously, you know, your worldview starts to morph. You are still in the same world, but you start to see the same thing differently. So you're not in the same world. You start having a clearer understanding, is the hope. And it has to do with the word, infinite.

The Infinite

The word, "infinite," when I first heard the word, was defined as "unending." And the example was 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1, and infinite was "unending finities," 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 forever.

But, the word infinite actually means "not finite."

And so, I used the example of an iPod being a finite form. Finite means anything that has a border or a boundary.

Forms are finite. They have borders and boundaries. But, anything that is finite, forms, like this watch, are floating in formlessness, the not finite. It's as though the watch is floating in the sky. The sky is really there, but there is not a border or a boundary around it. The sky is a pretty good example of the not finite.

The word Infinite, the way I'm using it, refers to Consciousness.

And so, Consciousness is the not-finite infinite Context in which forms, Manifest Creation, is happening.

More fundamental than the form is the Context in which it's happening. More fundamental than forms is formlessness. More fundamental, radical, root-like than finite things is the infinite context in which the finite things are happening.

OK.

So, Infinity.

Infinity is the CONTEXT in which everything you are aware of is happening.

Infinity is CONSCIOUSNESS. And so, if you are conscious — and you are — then you ARE that Consciousness, that infinite Consciousness, looking out at forms, Manifest Creation.

Now, the feeling-tone of Infinity, and let me just say this fast, but the feeling tone of Infinity is calm. The feeling-tone of Infinity is unconflicted Being. The feeling-tone of Infinity is fearlessness. This is because there is nothing other than Infinity to be in conflict with. Therefore, the feeling-tone of Infinity is calm, fearless, conflict-free Being.

Therefore, the truest, root-like, radical feeling-tone of YOU is calm conflict-free Being.

This is important. And, if you are not experiencing the calm of Unconflicted Conscious Being, that is because of conflict in your mind, misperceptions in your mind, misunderstandings in your mind.

The feeling-tone of Infinity is calm, is ease, and any form of dis-ease is due to conflict in your mind.

And I am going to try to get into the questions that you brought up, OK?

But, have insight into that.

The feeling-tone of Infinity is calm. Therefore, the truest thing about you is calm, conflict-free Being. Hang out with that a lot.

The truest thing — the truest thing! — is conflict-free conscious being, the feeling-tone of Unconflicted Being. If you are not experiencing it, if you are experiencing dis-ease of any form, that is the evidence that you are trying to operate at odds with conflict-free Being.

Disease is the evidence of a conflicted mind, is the statement.

Now, you can guilt-trip yourself about that. But, you can also not guilt-trip yourself about it and simply realize, "Oh wow, OK. I sprained my ankle. I've got a headache. I did this. I fell over. So fucking what!" The solution then, to the best of your ability — many, many, many, many, many, many times, as many times as it takes — is to slide consciously into the feeling of calm.

You can guilt-trip yourself and remain agitated. Or you can have insight into this and remember, "Oh, OK. The solution, the hopeful, maybe-solution to dis-ease, to the suffering that I am experiencing, is to just turn around and slide into the experience of calm to the best of my ability."

You slide into the experience of calm and then you desire healing. Use whatever words come into your mind, whatever words feel authentic to you, that you desire healing.

And right in that moment when you desire healing, you are likely to come up with all these justifications about why you are going to keep being sick, why you are going to keep suffering from whatever you are suffering from. And, right at that point, you will feel like you are being accurate, that you are reporting the news accurately, "Oh, it's my genetics. The reason I'm suffering from this is because my father had a blood clot. The reason I'm suffering from this is because my grandmother had this." Good genetic reasons.

But, the point I was trying to make the other day, remember, is push genetics to the source of genetics. Don't just get stuck at, "Oh, my grandmother. Oh, my father. Oh, it's been in my white-people lineage." Push it to the source of genetics. And the source of genetics is G-O-D.

Therefore, the new statement that I'm hearing, recommending, practicing, is that your real DNA is G-O-D.

And so, when you desire healing and you start coming up with justifications about why you are going to remain sick — it's because of your grandmother, your genetics — be aware that that is your belief system and then temporarily put it in pause-mode, long enough to sink into the feeling of calm a little bit more than you already are. Consciously remind yourself, "Oh yeah! My real DNA is G-O-D. I don't really know what that means, but it seems like I am on the scent of something awesome."

That will give you justification for expecting healing, rather than being convinced that you are doomed to have a crummy experience because of your human genetics.

Calm — Unconflicted Being — is the feeling-tone of Infinity. Anything that exists is an expression of Infinity. Calm, therefore, is your birthright, and is available. The truest thing about you is Unconflicted Conscious Being, health, the ease of Being.

And when you start feeling dis-ease, don't guilt-trip yourself about it. Just, "Oh, oh, I bumped into the curb. Oh yeah! It just means be attentive. OK, just get back on track. OK, slide into the feeling of calm once again."

That is why the practices are important, because on a daily basis you attune yourself to the feeling of calm. Do it a lot. Then, when you are having a troubled moment, it's easier to find the feeling of calm once again.

Disease is the evidence of a conflicted mind. Therefore, to the best of your ability, slide into the feeling of calm and desire healing. Watch all the little justifications you come up with. Blow them off temporarily. Maybe they're true. In all likelihood, they are just limited beliefs. Blow them off temporarily, with the insight that, "Wow, your real DNA is G-O-D." And, "Wow, I want to know what that means."

And the further insight, remember is that GOD is Love. That's why when you slide into the feeling of calm you start feeling loved. And it doesn't feel hokey.

And again, if you do that on a regular basis by learning to sit quietly, and you seriously go for it, and then many times during the day, for moments at a time, you slide into the feeling of calm... I don't know. It feels like we are about to prove this radical new concept, this radical new understanding, and help alleviate suffering, help eliminate disease, help initiate healing.
