Maya is a Sanskrit word that means “illusion.” You can have an illusion about something, but there’s no real illusion. Therefore, there is no such thing as maya, not really. There’s Truth only, really, and we can each have an increasingly undistorted experience of it, the more we do the practices. The way to stop perpetuating the illusion, and this sounds wacko, at first, but increasingly you realize what an awesome concept this is. The way to let go of the illusion is to stop thinking. The only thing that keeps the illusion in place, the only thing that keeps the delusion in place, is thinking — your justifications for why things are the way they are.
